It could also refer to an area where people gather to make important decisions for a business such as choosing a new CEO or opening branches. A boardroom can also be a virtual conference room where groups can meet online. Virtual meetings can have a number of advantages, including improved governance, increased attendance, less travel expenses and a greater diversity of board members.
